Our experienced and dedicated team of therapists develop and implement individualized plans of care to assist our residents with obtaining their personalized goals. Mason Health Care Center provides comprehensive services for physical, occupational and speech therapies.

Physical Therapy

Our professionally trained and licensed Physical Therapists provide therapy to elderly patients using state-of-the-art equipment and therapy modalities with the goal of maximizing the individual’s independence. Our Physical Therapists treat:

  • Recovering from injuries or open wounds
  • Recovering from hip or knee surgery
  • Experiencing weakness, acute or chronic pain resulting from illness or accidents
  • Experiencing inflexibility and pain from arthritis
  • Experiencing neurological disease such as stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis or have experienced a head injury
Rehabilitation

Occupational Therapy

Provides skills for individuals to work toward returning to daily living tasks with minimum discomfort and maximum productivity. Our Occupational Therapists employ goal directed techniques to increase individuals independence so they may return to their home and be able to perform daily tasks. They can creatively adapt the home environment to meet the individual’s needs. We treat individuals for:

  • Retraining in tasks of everyday living
  • Custom made splints and positioning devices for proper alignment and body mechanics
  • The opportunity to resume involvement in work, the community and family/social life.
Rehabilitation

Speech & Language Pathology

Speech-Language Pathologists are professionally trained to diagnose and treat communicative disorders. Our therapists take a holistic approach to therapy and are continually updating their skills on the most current treatment modalities. We provide treatment for a variety of communication disorders including:

  • Aphasia- difficulty with communication such as the ability to comprehend and interpret verbal and written language.
  • Decreased Cognitive Functioning- People with brain injuries or dementia can benefit from therapy designed to increase and maintain communication skills
  • Dysphagia- swallowing disorders may result from brain injuries, strokes and neurological disease

We provide therapy services based on needs and requests, up to 7 days a week. We dedicate the appropriate amount of time daily depending on each individual therapy program and what is needed.

If you require admission following a hospital stay, you can contact us 24/7. Late day and weekend admissions can be arranged.
