About Us

Mason Health Care Center is a part of the Deaconess Communities, a non-profit organization, and we’re proud to have all the benefits that go along with it.

As a non-profit senior community, we are focused on you and not making huge profits for the benefit of owners. We’re comfortable placing all our effort on our residents and hiring a highly qualified staff.  Mason Health Care Center offers skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, long-term care and respite stays. Our nursing staff consists of many seasoned professionals that have been with us for 20+ years and have made their careers caring for seniors in a loving, compassionate environment.

Mason Health Care Center was originally established as Wright’s Nursing Home in 1954.  Wright’s Nursing Home was the first nursing home in Warren County. In August 1995, it was purchased by Deaconess Long Term Care of Ohio, Inc. and has undergone the completion of a 12,000 square foot addition and renovation of the pre-existing 10,000 square feet.

Mason Health Care Center is a 43 bed Skilled Nursing Care facility with 10 Residential Care units (Assisted Living). We offer routine nursing care, medically related social services, a diverse activity program, restorative/rehabilitative nursing care and therapeutic diets. We are non-denominational and do not have any age restrictions. There is no endowment fee and we accept Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid Waiver Program, most private insurances.  Many facilities in Mason and West Chester refer patients to us for continued care through Medicaid. We partner with most all hospice services in the area and offer hospice respite care when caregivers need a break from the demands of their duties.

Dr. Peggy Gennantonio is our Medical Director and has a practice locally. She is very dedicated to the residents  and on call 24/7. She makes rounds routinely and is always available to families when needed. Additional primary care doctors on staff are Dr. Ansari and Timothy Geering, both of Mason.

About us

We’re proud of our reputation and the rave reviews families continue to give us.  It’s a true honor when the families we serve speak so highly of our staff. Our occupancy rate is always maintained due in part to the referrals prior rehab patients or resident’s family members give us on a regular basis. It’s not unusual for us to care for many family members that had a relative stay with us in the past.
