Respite Care Temporary Stay Options

Since 1954, Mason Health Care Center has been a trusted source when individuals or families require a little extra help for a short period of time. Our respite care program is typically utilized to give the caregiver a break or when they are unavailable. It is also an opportunity to try long term care for future living arrangements. These stays range from a few days to a month or longer.

Our more advanced skilled nursing services include hospice respite and general in-patient stays. Our staff is trained on how to care for someone during their final days. As a team, we work closely with area hospice organizations to meet your needs. Respite care allows a family caregiver to get a break from their duties. If your loved one is eligible for Medicare or Medicaid, his or her hospice care might be covered. Your loved one must meet the requirements and a doctor and the hospice medical director must certify that your loved one is terminally ill and has 6 months or less to live.
